Pacific Northwest

There's a particular quiet that lives inside the density of a Pacific Northwest forest — a stillness that exists alongside the scale of the place rather than in spite of it. These photographs were made along coastlines, on open water, and deep in old-growth forests across Washington State and British Columbia. The ruggedness and lushness don't ask to be noticed. They simply are.
