Cities are where nature retreats to the edges — and that's exactly where I point the camera. Steel, glass, and concrete catch light the way no landscape does. These photographs were made in Philadelphia, Paris, Washington DC, San Francisco, Amsterdam, and Reykjavik — at the hours when the city catches its breath.
